LookLook recently worked with the agency Prime & Fire and had the pleasure to meet and work live with Eric Koston. The agency specialises in brand leverage within the action sports and lifestyle market and Eric Koston is one of the biggest, if not the biggest, player in the field of street skating. After initially founding his own company, he now designs for and is sponsored by Nike SB (and is also sponsored by Stove Skateboards, Independent Truck Company, Spitfire Wheels, Fourstar, Diamond, Supreme, The Berrics, Oakley, Jessup, and Skullcandy).

We were requested to create a photo booth for the event launch of the Koston 3 shoes, to provide fans and guests with a souvenir with Eric after an intimate Q&A held in store at Nike Town, London.

As you can imagine, Koston is in super high demand all over the globe so one of our challenges was to succeed in getting the best value out of the limited time we had with him. We had to both attempt to bypass the anticipated mass requests for “selfies” and channel this into an activity that was interactive, tangible and shareable.

HOW WAS THIS ACHIEVED

A a super-imposed Eric Koston! A green screen was utilised with one of our Tower Booths which enabled fans to strike a pose then select (via touchscreen) their favourite (bespoke overlay image) of Koston alongside themselves. Result!
